This service of Tenebrae, or “Shadows”, is based on a twelfth-century evening service and is an extended meditation on the stories of sacrifice in the Old Testament and on the Passion of Christ. This is a Maundy Thursday service incorporating communion as well as portions of the Good Friday service.
