We have been working on our Fifteenth Edition of The Sewanee Composer’s Project. Our crack team of editors, choir directors, composers, musicians, sushi chefs, and Oompa-Loompas have been toiling night and day for the past year to out-do ourselves.

When our Sewanee Composer Project MMVI (that’s Roman for 2006) came out on CD-ROM, we expected an outcry from our customers who just recently had learned how to turn on a microwave oven. Then, we discovered that they had acquired cell phones! Cell phones! Sure, they don’t know how all the buttons work, but what a leap of faith!

Since then, we’ve put out several volumes on CD-ROM and even talked the RSCM into following suit. And you, our loyal customers, have figured out that this is the greatest thing since “photocopyable church anthems.”

Oh, there were a few complaints. A lot of folks just wanted to have a book they could read through.
“It’s too big,” we said. “442 pages. It’d take a team of well-trained junior choristers just to haul it around.”

“It’s too much work. We have to click on every piece, then print it out. We can’t make the secretary work that hard. She’s already complaining to the church administrator and you know what that means.”

Yes, we know what that means, so we fixed that problem right away. Like last year, we now have an option for “One-click” printing. You can print the entire book out with one click! All 442 pages. Or, you can print one anthem at a time.

“Hmmm...that might work,” you said, text-messaging your massage-therapist with your feet. “I can put the whole thing in a notebook.”

“We’ll DO it!”
