Description

SATB Choir. An exhortation for choir. If you have the choir to do this one, you will love it. Written for Marilyn Keiser on her retirement from All Souls Parish (Asheville, NC) in 1983.

Text from Psalm 57:6-11

Exalt yourself above the heavens, O God,
and give your glory over all the earth.
My heart is firmly fixed on you, O God,
my heart is fixed;
I will sing and make melody.
Wake up, my spirit; awake lute and harp;
I myself will waken the dawn.
I will confess you among the peoples, O Lord;
I will sing praise to you among the nations.
For your loving kindness is greater than the heavens,
and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

recording by the Motet Choir of Cathedral of All Souls, Asheville, NC
