David Halls God the Holy Trinity

Anthems, Introits, Benedictions and Responses, RSCM Publications
Keyboard [organ/piano]
Suggested Uses(s)

SATB and organ.

Notes: This is a short blessing which would be appropriate at the end of a service. Although it starts piano it still needs a positive approach to emphasize the words. The first line should be sung without a breath half way through. A moderate andante tempo will help achieve this. As the texture is chordal, aim for exact coordination of all the parts and expression throughout the phrases, especially in the bass line which has many repeated notes.

God the Holy Trinity make you strong in faith and love, defend you on every side, and guide you in truth and peace; and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always, Amen.
