Description

Introit (or Benediction) for SAB Choir. From Hassler's much longer Renaissance motet "Verbum caro factum est." This is a short polyphonic introit for mission Sundays or when the text is appropriate. (We think it's appropriate anytime.) If you have a small choir that hasn't sung any Renaissance polyphony for a while, give this a try. Easy ranges, clever, and effective. That Hassler! What a guy!

And I heard the voice of the Lord:
"Whom shall I send and who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I, send me."
