Text by Beverly Easterling.

Between the stars and Bethlehem's plain,
A baby lies asleep;
The Savior of the nations come,
God's promise now he keeps.

The child kept under Mary's heart
Reveals God's holy plan;
The hope for everlasting life
Within his tiny hands.

Sweet sleeping child,
God's perfect gift of grace;
The weary world lies at your feet,
We see thy Father's face.
