Description: Sing, “Gloria” is the first anthem composed by Parker Ramsay, text and tune begun and completed in about an hour when he was eight years old. This delightful Christmas anthem works well in a Christmas pageant or Christmas Eve worship service, with choristers robed or in costume, dressed as angels, shepherds and wise men. The refrain is learned easily by the youngest choristers.

The King is born in Bethlehem,
Gloria in excelsis!
Rejoice and sing, Jerusalem,
Gloria in excelsis!
Sing Gloria, sing Gloria in excelsis Deo!

The angels sang their song to him,
Gloria in excelsis!
The shepherds came to worship him,
Gloria in excelsis!
Sing Gloria, sing Gloria in excelsis Deo!

The wise men came to Bethlehem,
Gloria in excelsis!
They brought their gifts to honor him,
Gloria in excelsis!
Sing Gloria, sing Gloria in excelsis Deo!
