Description

SATB and Organ, with optional Brass Quartet or Quintet and opt. timpani. This joyous work is a choral classic that is appropriate for any festive occasion. With easy-to-sing harmonies and unison passages, it is an absolute must for every choir. The anthem was composed for the Annual Festival of the Rochester Diocesan Church Choirs Association and is still a universal favorite 90 years after it first sung. Perfect for anytime of year where 'Alleluias' abound.

NEW: An Easter text added, (Christ has risen!) making this a GREAT anthem for Easter Morning. Add the NEW brass parts (they work with the existing organ score) and show this one off to its fullest. With or without brass, this is an anthem that will be sung as long as there are choirs to sing.

The full scores and parts are located in the EXTRAS (ZIP) file. There are separate files for
Brass Quintet (tr, tr, hrn, tb, tuba)
Brass Quartet (tr, tr, tb, tb)
timpani

Lyrics

With a voice of singing declare ye this,
and let it be heard, Alleluia!
Utter it even unto the ends of the earth.
The Lord hath delivered His people, Alleluia!
O be joyful in God, all ye lands.
O sing praises to the honor of His name,
make His praise to be glorious.
