Description

SATB Choir and Organ. A wonderful alternative to the Anglican standard by Ernest Bullock. Full of Richard's chromaticism, gift for melody, and wonderful harmonic language, this is a small gem. Not difficult and the repetition of material makes it fairly easy to learn. Use for All Saint's services, of course. But look for other uses as well!

Lyrics

Give us the wings of faith to rise
within the veil, and see
the saints above, how great their joys,
how bright their glories be.

We ask them whence their victory came;
they with united breath
ascribe their conquest to the Lamb,
their triumph to his death.

They marked the footsteps that he trod,
his zeal inspired their quest;
and, following their incarnate God,
they reached the promised rest.

Our glorious Leader claims our praise,
for his own pattern given;
while the long cloud of witnesses
show the same path to heaven.
