Fear not! O shepherds, for behold: I bring unto you glad tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David, a Savior, Christ the Lord.
And suddenly, there appeared a multitude of the Heavenly Host, praising God and saying:
Gloria in excelsis Deo [Glory be to God on high].
And on earth peace, good will unto all men.
