SATB Choir (optional accompaniment). Composed in 1814, this lovely motet has a real Classical flair. Attwood's compositions, which show the influence of his teacher Mozart, are now largely forgotten except for a few short anthems including this setting of the Collect for Epiphany.

O God, who by the leading of a star
didst manifest thy only-begotten Son to the Gentiles,
mercifully grant that we who know thee now by faith,
may after this life have the fruition of thy glorious Godhead,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
