Description

SAB and Organ. A really wonderful piece for smaller choirs on a "Three Kings" text. Use for your Lessons and Carols service, or save it for Epiphany! Or both (oh yes, we've been known to do that...)

How far from ancient cities, the kings, their glories bring?
From palaces to stable, to greet the infant King.
The wise men kept their watching, and saw a distant star.
They knew a Child was given, and followed from afar.

How far across the mountains, and 'cross the deserts wild?
The sages made their journey to see this Holy Child,
In Bethlehem they found him, in manger rude and bare,
And they worshipped the beloved, with treasures rich and rare.

How far to find the Savior, the Bright and Morning Star?
Who came to light the Gentiles and darkened lands afar?
May we, too, seek his cradle; and with these treasures bring;
Our hearts in true devotion, to God our heav'nly King.
