Description

David was born and raised near Manchester, England. He was a well-known boy treble, singing as a chorister at Coventry Cathedral. As a professional musician he found his way to London where he spent many years a music director, composer and instrumentalist. He conducted the B.B.C. Radio Orchestra before entering the world of music theatre. He was the music director at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Later he became the music supervisor for a Swiss company bringing Broadway musicals to Europe. He met his American wife, Susan, in New York when she was cast in the European tour of “Oklahoma!” After moving to the U.S.A. he was hired as a tenor in the men and boys choir of the Washington National Cathedral. David is now the music director at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Reston Virginia. David is a prolific composer of all styles of church music and is proud of his association with St. James Music Press.
