Description

From high school on, Randy Cox has been involved in church choral music, directing music programs in Memphis, Los Angeles, Illinois, Ohio and Nashville. After his church music education, Randy moved to Nashville to work in music publishing creating print music projects for adult, youth and children’s choirs and sung by millions of choir members worldwide. In 2008 Randy began writing lyrics and music again. Going back to his roots of traditional choral music, he began creating more liturgical texts and choral pieces. Since then he has been published by Lorenz, Hope, Hal Leonard, Chorister’s Guild, Word, and Fred Bock Music. Since 2009, Randy has been a Lay Cistercian of Gethsemani Abbey, a historic Trappist Abbey and home of Thomas Merton. The new insights and directions continue.
