The Austro-German Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is considered to be one of the greatest composers of all time. A child prodigy, his talents for composition developed at an early age under the tutelage of his father, a violinist and pedagogue. He composed in every major formal genre of his day, excelling in all of them: solo sonata, chamber music, symphony, sacred music, opera, and concerto.
