Description

For 2-part choir (or soloists) and C-Instrument - An easy setting of the Southern Harmony hymn-tune, "Prospect".  Would be a wonderful piece for Pentecost, and the text is general enough to use anytime in the summer.  You could even use this with your children's choir!  The recording is from the Mississippi Conference on Music and Liturgy.  Even though this one will be easy to put together, we included learning tracks to make it even simpler: the link to the playlist is on the last page of the download.

Lyrics

The lone, wild bird in lofty flight,
is still with thee, nor leaves thy sight,
and I am thine, I rest in thee,
Great Spirit, come, and rest in me.

The ends of Earth are in thy hand,
the sea's dark deep, and far-off land.
And I am thine, I rest in thee,
Great Spirit, come, and rest in me.

The lone, wild bird in lofty flight,
is still with thee, nor leaves thy sight,
and I am thine, I rest in thee,
Great Spirit, come, and rest in me.
