For SATB Choir. If your choir hasn't sung wallowed in Renaissance polyphony for a while, this beautiful mass from Hans Leo Hassler may be just the thing. We've left out the Credo, but you can have a go at the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus and Benedictus, and the Agnus Dei.
Music History Note: Missa super Dixit Maria is an excellent example of a parody mass, based on the composer's own motet Dixit Maria ad angelum.
The EXTRAS (ZIP) file contains the score with a keyboard reduction, and the separate mp3 files just in case you'd like to try one movement first. For example, the Agnus Dei would be perfect during any communion service, the Kyrie during Advent, etc.
