SATB and Organ. A bright, traditional, upbeat anthem based on the tune Halifax (by G.F. Handel). This can be sung anytime, but especially useful for those Sundays when the texts allude to the "Second Adam." Not difficult.

Lyrics

Praise to the Holiest in the height,
and in the depth be praise,
in all his words most wonderful,
most sure in all his ways.
O loving wisdom of our God!
when all was sin and shame,
a second Adam to the fight
and to the rescue came.

O wisest love! that flesh and blood,
which did in Adam fail,
should strive afresh against the foe,
should strive and should prevail.
That Christ, God's wondrous gift of grace,
should shed his precious blood,
And win for us eternal life
Within the house of God.

Praise to the Holiest in the height,
and in the depth be praise,
in all his words most wonderful,
most sure in all his ways.
O praise the Father on his throne,
O praise his blessed Son,
O praise the Spirit, ever blest,
Exalt the Three in One.
