Description

Parker Ramsay, a native of Dickson County, Tennessee, is a graduate of The King’s School, Ely (UK), where he served as Sixth Form Organ scholar at Ely Cathedral, and was named a King’s Scholar in 2008. In 2009, he earned the certification Associate of the Royal College of Organists, garnering three of the four prizes awarded. He began his university studies in September 2010 at King’s College, Cambridge, where he served as Organ Scholar under Stephen Cleobury. Ramsay is the first American to serve as a Cambridge scholar in the history of the University. In 2008, he was named Cambridge Young Composer of the Year by the Cambridge Youth Music foundation.
